Abstract

The recent experience with the problems generated by the economic and financial crisis has led to some debate on the role of economic polices.  In particular, to which extent a particular monetary policy regime would impose a restriction to policymakers. Moreover, economic policy measures are not only expected to restructuring the economy, but also to avoid undesirable spillover effects. In this paper, we will analyze how economic policies responses have contributed to offset the decline of GDP growth.

Key words: Crisis, economic policies.
