The article presents the method for constructing synthetic vector measure which allows to determine the effect of indicators’ variability on the result of ranking. The measure is composed of an ordered pair of mean value increment and standard deviation increment. As a consequence, additional information may be gathered that allows to determine how the rank of a given object might change. An example of constructing synthetic vector measure for creating a ranking of Polish voivodships in terms of spatial uniformity based on data obtained from counties being parts of those voivodships.
