The sector's power and its connection with stock market level of development

The capital market is one of the elements of market economy. There is a significant relation between them: both markets influence one another. A capital market development is a derived element of economy and development of its economic subjects (especially stock companies). The  level of development in these two fields can be measured by many factors and in different ways. They are  very important areas because  they refer to many aspects of economy life.

The main goal of the paper is analysis and diagnosis of Polish capital market development level and with consideration to sectors level of development. Research focuses on some parts of analysis:

-          fundamental power of sectors

-          rate of returns in sectors and on the whole stock market

-          sectoral and stock indices (especially its rate of return).

All analyses refer to period 2000-2011. In all analyses some of quantitative methods were used.
