Variation of foreign investments in globalization environment

The structure of foreign investments and investments trends are constantly changing what is influenced not only by the globalization processes but also the increase of the competitive strength of some countries, the crisis occurring in the global economy, changes of foreign investors’  investment priorities.
To analyze changes of foreign investments’ flows in the world economy it is necessary to explore:
- The inflows and outflows of foreign direct investments - to and from the major countries of the world in particular years,
- Changes in general capital commitment of these countries in relation to foreign direct investments,
- Changes in the number and value of  "greenfield" projects.
- Changes in the value of mergers and acquisitions made by the company of these major countries in the international range.
