Comparative analysis of effects of joining EU – on example of CEE countries

Objectives:

 Analysis of effects of

  1. dissolution of COMECON system  in 90’, similarities an differences in the reaction of economies of Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Czech Republc and Hungary
  2. joining European Union

Data/Methods:

Statistical and correlation analysis focuses on  basic macroeconomic  data: GDP, consumption and foreign trade, its dynamics and interrelations. 

Results/Expected results:

Identification of similarities and differences, specifically time lags in the reactions of economies of these countries to changes in economic system and international environment.
