Solving the issue of process management in this article was created from the original results of the quantitative research evaluating aspects of process management in the context of company strategies in Czech enterprises which was carried out in 2006 with regard to the extension of its further utilization. Followed by the interest of the professionals in practice the research continued and was re-implemented in 2012, with the interviews completed in 2013.

My main goal was to assess how the use of process management components has changed, as well as the aspects of process management, i.e. comprehensive views and statements on the issues of the management of business processes, namely goals, factors, components, support and benefits of the process management in the Czech Republic especially in the context of business strategy. I show new trends in process control, especially the importance of basic documents in business process management (BPM) projects, processing internal control documentation and the emergence of new standards in the BPM in my article. To meet the goals of my article I proposed a new methodology for comprehensive processing and evaluation of similar quantitative surveys applicable to analyzing the use of process management in enterprises, based not only on descriptive statistics but also cluster analysis and statistical induction methods. Comparing the basic statements of managers on the use of BPM in the companies they run and the BPM components actually implemented, showing the real use of BPM in a particular company within a selected sample, I measure to what extent Czech companies actually use process management.
