Biographical Sketch:
Florian Heider is a Principal Economist in the Financial Research Division of the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt, Germany. Prior to the ECB, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business, New York University and a Research Fellow at the Financial Markets Group, London School of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain. His research focuses on banking and corporate finance. He has published in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Finance, and other peer reviewed academic journals.
