Biographical Sketch:
Václav Klaus is a Czech economist and politician who served as the President (2003-2013) and Prime Minister (1992-1998) of the Czech Republic. He co-founded the Civic Democratic Party and was its Chairman prior to his presidency. Klaus holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Institute of Economics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and has published more than 20 books.
