Biographical Sketch: Luigi Zingales is Robert C. McCormack Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and President of the American Finance Association. Zingales’ research interests span from corporate governance to financial development, from political economy to the economic effects of culture. His research has earned him the 2002 Nasdaq Award for best paper in capital formation, the 2003 Bernacer Prize for the best young European financial economist, and in 2012 he was named by Foreign Policy magazine to its list of FP Top 100 Global Thinkers. Zingales holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
