E62-1 FISCAL INSTITUTIONS AND STRATEGIC INTERACTIONS
This panel aims at focusing on the relationships between public spending, tax revenues and fiscal institutions. In a theoretical perspective derived from fiscal federalism, the panel gathers five original contributions combining theoretical advances and empirical studies. The core of this panel deals with the strategic use of public resources by national or local decisison-makers by focusing on strategic interactions among jurisdictions, influence of institutional rules on fiscal decision-making and the impact of ethnic diversity on fiscal choices.
