The level of offered services, and many a time their practical exclusiveness caused that transport firms are becoming serious beneficiaries of orders from the public sector. Widening of cooperation between the public sector and enterprises providing transport services turns of to be especially useful as it is conductive to the development of these services. Generating demand organs of administration and non-governmental organizations create incentive to invest, develop activity and take entrepreneurial risk. Adopting certain modes of conduct secures at the same time proper expenditure of public funds.
The objective of the paper is to recognize the scale and structure of mutual relations of transport enterprises and public institutions in the framework of relations occurring on the market of public procurement.
Its implementation requires finding answers to the following questions:
- What is the market potential of transport services in Poland?
- What is the role of transport services on the public procurement market?
- What is the structure of provided services?
The conducted analysis should reveal connections of transport firms with public institutions on the public procurement market basing on the potential of the market of services for which there is demand of public institutions. They will be based on the statistical data coming from the publications of the Public Procurement Office using the SPSS Statistical package. They will also contain comparative studies in the structural and dynamic approach.
