Sustainable Development as a Part of Regional Policy

Sustainable development is described in the general context and it is considered as one part of national and regional economic policy. The relationship to other economic policy objectives such as stability, competitiveness, eliminating disparities, etc. is also mentioned.

Basic factors of sustainable development, classifications of indicators of sustainable development and regional development objectives of sustainable development are analyzed. Sustainable development indicators are analyzed in terms of connections, ability to create summary indicators and comparisons issues.

Problems of costs of recovery and development and, the possibilities of optimizing the trajectories of development, including a link to the environment are also outlined.
