Age management - a remedy of companies for ageing of the population?

arious economic and social consequences of the ageing of communities, which all Europe has to take into an account as well, make the economic activity of people over 50 in the labour market one of the most significant issues raised in the labour market research. In many EU countries measures have been taken in order to maintain the employment rates of this group of workers or to include them in the labour market. More and more frequently, the issues of labour of people over 50 are raised in discussions at the level of the European Commission.

In the aspect of the decreasing population of young people in Europe in order not to lose business possibilities due to the lack of employees, companies will have to more and more rely on senior employees. And so the Age management is one of the most important mechanisms of keeping senior workers in the employment. The aim of this paper is to present instruments of the Age management and their use by Polish enterprises.
