Specific character of the international road transport companies in Poland lies in the geographic position of the country on the one hand, and in the regulations that are unified on the territory of European Union on the other. It concerns mainly the transport of goods. The share of transportation of goods by road in the whole inland transport in Poland is approximately equal to 80%. Such argument puts one’s attention on the factors that influence economic situation of the road hauliers. In the paper the econometric model of costs and revenues of a medium transport company in Poland is specified and estimated. Monthly data from the years 2000-2011 are taken into account. The results are discussed on the background of the situation in the branch.
