The opening up of the new markets for public procurement, as a result of the joining the EU by 12 new Central and Eastern European countries, introduced a new era for European integration.
The paper tries to present the most important changes in the Polish public procurement market with special emphasis on its openness and foreign enterprises participation. Dynamics and structure of number and value of public procurement in the years 2004-2008 will be analysed.
The gathered data come from the official reports of Public Procurement Office in Warsaw and from own investigations based on data obtained from PPO web portal and PPO web site.
