The current social and economic system generates exclusion. Social policies have tried to palliate these non desired effects, but the public systems of social protection are not enough. The social insertion is seen as a very useful instrument to ease those inequalities, surpassing by far the mere protection of care type, just because it combines the economic protection advantages with the psychological and social benefits of the social inclusion by the work.

In these last ten years business experiences have arisen devoted to social inclusion. They are productive units, so they have to combine welfare and stable employment creation. We can not doubt of the positive impact of these kinds of companies, because of social inclusion through employment. However, they also have a considerably economic effect because of the saving in the pensions and grants of the social protection system.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the impact of social insertion companies in the national system of social protection (Social Security System). We will focus on the savings to the Spanish government, because of the fact that these companies employ lots of people who stop receiving grants or pensions. To make the analyses we will take focus on a study-case.
