Results
The EU solutions and standards have impact on the quality of the Polish transport especially now when Poland is already a member of the EU. The improvement of the Polish transport enterprises’ appearance after adopting the UE regulations into the national law helps in cooperation with other member countries. However, all of the principles of the proper competition and consumer protection as well as European technical, safety and environmental standards in transport eventually make the necessity to adopt those new regulation in the functioning of the single company. Any changes always create costs for the companies which might cause poorer efficiency of the transport companies especially considering their revenues. The financial situation of the transport sector after Poland’s accession to the EU is strongly determined by the structural funds and cohesion fund.
