E00-5 (2119) MACRO- AND MICROECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN THE LIGHT OF ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
The European Union is a powerful driver of the institutional change and development needed to establish a single market capable of securing economic and social cohesion. Decision about entering the EU had an important impact on the macroeconomic growth of the member states. Enlargement which took place in 2004 influenced both the "old" as well the "new" member countries. With this session certain macro- and microeconomic problems in the light of economic integration will be developed. The session will mainly concentrate on the following aspects: · inflow of FDI and its impact on the national economy; with the special emphasis on domestic labour market; · - investment strategies in companies with foreign capital share; · - inflation, economic growth and European Central Bank monetary policy; · - innovation strategy of national economy.
